Hi,

I am filing 1040nr asa non-resident. I have received a 1099-INT income which is exempt under federal income tax being a non-resident. I have to file california state tax too. Is interest exemption also true for california state tax? Kindly let me know

You are part-year resident or full year resident of CA so this income is taxable in CA.
