Hi,
This is the first year that I have been married at tax time. I have my W2 and have been ready to file my taxes for months. However, my husband has not received his yet and taxes are due in less than two weeks. He was working for a person who a owed a small business that went out of business last year. We have requested a W2 but thus far are empty handed. What do we do if we cannot get it? What do we offer as proof that taxes were withheld? Should I file my taxes separately? Please Help, thank you.

W2 has to be issued by the employer. Was your husband working as an employee? Was the employer withholding taxes from your husband's income? Do your husband has income statements?

Yes, he was an employee, yes taxes were withheld. I don't think he has all of his pay stubs but probably some of them.
