Hi, my friend came across the following symbol and wants to know if it has any particular meaning. The letters are Hebrew of some kind we think.

Thanks,
Archie.

The letters are indeed Hebrew (or Aramaic).

It looks like it could be Kabbalistic. Kabbalists like to make charts and crostics like that.

However the image size is too small to make out the details, especially the words around the outside edge.

Could you provide a link to where this image came from? We need more info.

Right... what I mean is, we need the ORIGINAL website where that came from, in context. Do you have that?

Around the outside, you'll find words from Psalms 72:8
וְיֵרְדְּ, מִיָּם עַד-יָם; וּמִנָּהָר, עַד-אַפְסֵי-אָרֶץ

And may he reign from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the land.

The interior letters form a Magic Square and I would assume that the combinations of letters are names of G-d or some similar mystical words as they are not staright forward Hebrew words.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
Unfortunately my friend seems to have been offline for a while now so I can't find a larger image or the site from which it originated.

Thanks

It is actually of christian origin. Although the letters are hebrew. See îôúç ùìîä- îàîø 1 [àøëéåï] - Elsf.Net (http://www.elsf.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-30018.html) if you know hebrew.
