I am experience itching in the pubic hair region and right around the area where you pee. I was diagnosed and treating for a yeast infection last Monday (6 days ago). After medication completed itching was still taking place so I called my doctor and was checked over (4 days ago). She said everything was fine, that my yeast infection was cleared up and that there was a little redness from my scratching. She gave me another antibiotic and some itching cream. The antibiotic was to prevent or stop my hair follicles from becoming infected. I do plan to go back to the doctor this week. I guess my question is; why am I still itching? Any suggestions.

You could have a human parasite called 'crabs' which inhabit the pubic area and feed on blood as fleas do. You can acquire them either through sexual contact or toilet seats, etc.

There is an ointment used for this and body lice called 'blue ointment'. You can google it to see what it is comprised of.
