I had took the depo shot for 3 years and decided in Nov to stop. I haven't had a period yet. When should I have a menstrual cycle? How long does it take for this shot to get out of your system? I have experienced some cramping and breast tenderness but still no period. I did gain about 10 pounds while on the shot, should I lose this weight once my body gets back to normal?

It can take up to 18 months for depo to wear off....I took it for 6 years and stopped in 04 and I didnt bleed again till the mid of 06.
