Carrier WeatherMaker 8000vs - Electric ignitor burnt into Friday afternoon, replaced with new one Saturday, worked for 1 day and burnt into this morning.

Need cause, LED blinks 34, I have read the troubleshooter guide, but don't understand.

Did you touch the new ignitor on the black part with your fingers?
If you did that can be a problem.

Ignitors are very sensitive and you cannot bang them around at all or they will fail.

It is unusual for a new ignitor to break again but it is possible.

just for clarification is the sensor really broken again or is the furnace just not working again?
