Hi

I entered the US for the first time in November 22, 2006 on a H2B visa from South Africa.

I left on July 6th 2007 to return to South Africa, and returned to the US on August 28th 2007 on a J1 student visa.

What tax forms do I need to file for 2006, and 2007?

Thanks in advance

For 2006, you must file as a non-resident alien, paying taxes ONLY on wages earned while in the U.S.

For 2007, you met the Substantial Presence Test, so you must file as a dual-status alien. The dual-status return is NOT a return to be prepared by an amateur; get professional help!
