Hello,

I arrived in America as a J1 Trainee through the Ohio State University with the Turf grass management program in March 2007. I have been working on a golf course in Florida since I arrived and I am having trouble doing my taxes. I have heard that I should receive most of my taxes back since I am a trainee on the J1 visa. But I cannot find a tax agent or any suitable software which will hopefully help me get most of my taxes back. Any Ideas????

There is no tax software readily available to J-1 trainees. Most universities purchase a license for CINTAX for their students.

You are exempt from Social Security and Medicare taxes, but ARE liable for federal income taxes. Florida has NO state income tax, so you need not worry about that.

We can help you file your tax by contacting us at the email address below.
