I am on H1B and got married in Nov 2007. My wife came to US for the fist time on 24th Feb 2008 on H4. Can I file as my dependent as I got married in Nov 2007?? Thanks for your help

You can file resident tax return as Married Filing Jointly. But there are certain requirements you must meet.
When did you come to the U.S. and on what visa? When did you start on H1-B?

I came to US in March 2007. And my wife came on 24th feb 2008 ie this year. Thanks for the quick response. I can still file jointly right?

Thanks MukatA. I came to US in April 2007. got married in Nov 2007(In India). My wife came to US in Feb 2008 on H4. Can I still file her has dependant and jointly??
