I'm looking to see if anyone knows what consumer reports rates Tappin HVAC units versus Carrier HVAC units. I need to replace mine, I can't afford two systems although that would be the way to go; so I need one unit.
I have taken several bids, and the Carrier is about $1,200 more to install than the Tappin. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Both companies make good products. The company that really knows what they are doing is the one I would pick. Ask your local friends about who they use and who they would not use.

As far as $$ goes the Carrier equipment costs more so some of that 1200.00 extra is for the units and other necessary materials.

You were a smart cookie to get more than one bid. Finally a smart consumer. My hat is off to you. Good luck with your new system.
