Here are some little helpers:
When you take your baby out in the stroler, put his bottle in a sock. This will keep it warmer for him.
Teething: Let your child suck on a cold wet washbloth. Or wrap some ice cubes, up in a cloth to chomp on.
When traveling with babies, put water in some bottles. Then put only formula in others. Mix as needed.
Keep diaper pins in a bar of soap. they'll slide in easier.
Need a baby's gate. Just buy a pet's gate. It's cheaper.
Need some baby powder. Use cornstarch. Works great. No rashes.
Baby bottle gunk. Clean by dropping one teaspoon of rice in the bottle. Now add hot water. shake good. Repeat if necessary.
Use Zinc Oxide on diaper rashes, and burns.
Break little tike from the bottle. Take some kool - aid with no sugar, and put it in his bottle. Then take kool - aid with sugar, and put it is his cup. Problem solved.
Let's break them from the pacifier. Cut a small piece off the nipple, every time they start to put it in their mouths. Don't let them see ya. Pretty soon they'll give it up, nothing to suck on. It will go flat.
Put fabric paint on the bottom of their socks. Let it dry. When they start to walk, they won't fall.
Put decals in the bottom of a baby's tub. They won't slip.
If your using cloth diapers add vinegar to your wash. It will change the ph and help reduce diaper rash.
If your baby has a rash. Undress him/her. Lay them on a towel on the stomach. Let the air get to it good. The area must remain dry to heal.
This is best to do while sleeping.
If your baby has a lot of leakage do this. Take an place a paper towel between his skin and the diaper. The towel will help stop leakage, but it won't block circulation. Plastic diaper covers, seal in moisture.
Breast fed babies have fewer diaper rashes.
Usually in one year, your child is ready to switch, from formula to whole pasteurized milk.
If you just fed your child, and they start crying two hours later. Then hunger is not the problem. Just pick them up cuddle, smile. and even try a different room's scenery. Your baby wants attention, and more time with you.
Some babies like a warm bottle. Some like it warm one day, and cold the next. Some don't care at all. Experiment an see which one your baby likes.
If your baby tends to spit up while feeding, change the angle your feeding in.
Don't prop that bottle up. You and your baby need this feeding time together. You can talk, Cuddle, and feed. When you prop that bottle, your baby could choke, if the milk ran down his/her throat.
Replace any nipples sticking to themselves. Your baby will have problems feeding.
Make sure the nipple size it just right for your baby. Too big, and they can choke. Too small they get frustrated, and very cranky.
Use cornstarch for rashes. Powders don't have the healing agents, or preventers. They just smell good.
Boil the nipples before using. They have that new plastic taste to them.
Fussy baby. After fed, changed and everything is o.k. If still fussing turn on a vacuum don't run it, or play a recorded cassette tape. These will help.
Could even hold a baby on a running dryer. Have the same effect as when riding in a car.
You can put your baby down awake. It's good to let them, have a little time alone to. They'll go off to sleep eventually. But a little classical recorded music will help. Something soft.
