okay im 18 and ever since i got my period its been fairly regular. I starting having sex when i was 16 and was on birth control for about a year. I couldnt keep up with it and my boyfriend and i broke up so i stopped taking it. However, even after i was off the birth control my period stayed very regular. Now i'm with someone else and we started having sex. We were being irresponsible once or twice and didn't use protection and im currecntly not on any birth control. I hadn't had sex for over a year before i did with him. My last regular period was the week before christmas i think like december 18th to 24th. Last month i only got my period for a day which is weird because it always stays for 5-6 days. It was also a few days earlier than i was expecting. Now i havent gotten it yet this month (feb.) and i started freaking out so a few weeks ago i went to a doctor and took a pregnancy test. It was negative but im still worrying myself to death, so a few days ago i took a first response pregnancy test and that was negative too. So than just yesterday i took the other one and its still negative. Im not ruling out being pregnant but i need to know!! Anyone know any other reasons why this could be happening?? Please respond asap i would appreciate it!! Thanks!

stop stressing. stress can throw your cycle off. if you took two home tests AND went to the doctor's and all the tests were negative then you probably really are not pregnant. there's actually lots of things that can throw off your cycle. stress, change in diet. if you continue missing your period you should definately see your doctor again. since you said you couldn't keep up with the bc, im assuming you were on the pill. you might want to consider a different form of bc thats easier. i've heard great things about the nuva ring and mirena (haven't tried them myself, but a lot of other women seem to like them)

You said your last period was only for a day? Did you even tell your doctor about this?
Even so I think you still need to talk to your doctor again. I wouldn't say it's nothing serious as it's probably; stress .etc.
Also, you mentioned you were not on birth control when you had unprotected sex. That could also be a reason why your period is delay but, since, you have negative tests it could possibly unlikely but, you could get a blood test if your period still hasn't come yet.

yeah i told my doctor..he didnt really say much about it only being for a day.. he said it probably had to with me not having sex for so long and starting to again. Im trying really hard to not stress out about it but everyday thay passes that i dont get it, it stresses me out even more. On top of college stress its hard to be relaxed. Im going to make an appointment tomorrow afternoon to go to the doctor and get another pregnancy test done and if its still negative im going to set up something to find out whats going on. Thanks for the help :)
