I am 23 years old. I have been on my period for three days now. This morning I woke and was bleeding worse than I ever have been before. I started out having to change my tampon every hour because I was leaking pretty badly. Then throughout the day it got worse and now I am having to change it every 20 to 30 min. I am also having huge blood clots come with it. This has never happened before I have always been regular with my periods. I am feeling a little light headed but I don't know if that is because I am freaking myself out or not. I called my doctor and the nurse said she thinks I should go to the ER. Should I listen and go or should I not be worried. Please Help!!

Thanks,
Ashley

Is the blood bright? That could be a symptom of an actual injury rather than menstruation. If this is abnormal and you are not feeling well, do not hesitate to go to the ER honey.
