bizygurl Jan 23, 2006, 06:38 AM Hey everyone its the computer dummy again, back with another computer question.
When you want to quote another person from their post to add in your post I.e. The blue box that goes around anothers post, how do you do it? I know everyone here pretty much knows how, but I can't figure it out. Iv tried to do it myself and almost ended up ruining someone's post. I thought that was my cue to ask. I hope I posted this Thread in the right catagory I apologize if I didn't. Thanks everyone!

When your presee the Quote button it pastes in the full text of the note surrounding by Quote tags. I.E. {Quote=username} trxt {/Quote}. Note I've used french brackets instead of square [] brackets. For illustration, you need to use the square brackets.
You can then customize your quoting. Quote from multiple people, break up quotests to answer specific points etc. Whatever teaxt appears between the 2 tags will appear in a receseed box.

This is totally a reverse spin on what I actually said. I never said ANYTHING against encouraging people. I simply suggested it be done as a comment or PM, NOT as a public post that only served to pads one's numbers.
Its bad enough that you have bad mouthed me, but when you misquote me and do so in what is clearly an attempt to attack me you violate the rules of this site.

No, I am just sort of "spunky" so to say and very, very outspoken on all sorts of issues from civil rights to Walmart. I occassionly get a few experts that I rub the wrong way being as out spoken as I am all over the board.
I don't even come to the computer area since turiing them on is hard for me too. Just posted here first of course because you did good figureing it out.
Second I did it sort of as a joke on someone also.
bizygurl Jan 24, 2006, 03:34 AM  Oh you silly boys, I should have known! LOL!:D  :D
