It could be the start of menopause and you could be pregnant. My former mother-in-law was in her early 40's and thought it was the start of menopause and found out she was pregnant.

Get an early pregnancy testing kit and see what happens. Or call your doctor and talk to the nurse and explain what is going on. Perhaps seeing your doctor for a physical would give you the answer you need.

Truthfully, it could be either menopause or pregnancy... or neither. Stress, illness, medications, etc. can delay a period by one week. As shygrneyzs said, take a HPT and no matter what the results call your doctor for his/her opinion.
