i live in ky and work in va...when i filed my state taxes va only since me a little of the money that i had paid in and then i own ky more than 1300.00 more than i'm getting back for va. I thought that i was to get all from va and then pay ky that and maybe alittle more. i'm i right? please help anyone

You need to file in both states. You will PAY VA taxes, then claim a credit fr the VA taxes on your KY state tax return.

I do not know the respective state's tax rates, so I cannot tell you whether you will owe KY more than what was withheld for VA.
