I used this scanner when I had windows ME - have now upgraded to XP and it won't work. What should I do?

What is the model number of the scanner?

Some Visioneer Scanners will not work with XP, some not with XP SP2.

Click on your model number at the above site, and there should then be a link for compatability with XP.
Also, before you installed XP, running the Compatability check, from the menu, would have been a good idea. But, anyway, check the link above to see if there are drivers to download for your model for XP.

When I had this installed with windows xp is used Text Bridge Software (I have the install cd) I installed the scanner using this cd but the scanner "could not be found" Have done this about 10 times - install/uninstall and have also been to the visioneer website but can't seem to find anything there.

Which Visionneer model scanner do you have?

I'm not sure but I see a number FU661E - does that help at all? The paperwork that came with it says "Visioneer 600dpi" - nothing else. Sorry
