Is there a way to change the fan for Central Air/Heating to one that is much more quiet or do I have to live with turning up the TV every time it cycles? It is not the fan per se, but more like the volume of air rushing through the system.

Is the furnace filter clean?
Are all the air vents open?

The blower speed might be able to be turned down BUT this should be done by a professional HVAC company because your furnace needs so many CFM's to prevent damage to the unit.
A professional should have the proper tools to test and make sure the unit will not be damages by the lower speed of the motor.

Do you have one return air vent, located close to the furnace?
