How much do you get back in taxes per child?

You do not get back a certain amount "per child" you do get deductions to use against your income for each dependent you have, This may lower the amount of tax you owe or allow you a refund of the tax you have already paid in.

1. Extra deduction of $3,400 per child
2. Increased Earned Income Credit if income is up to a limit.
3. $1,000 for each child as child tax credit. This credit will reduce your taxes.
