I am about to enter into a state -monitored diversion program in which I will be subject to random urine tests. I would like to know the period of time forwhich alcohol may be detected in urine. It used to be less than 24 hours but I've heard about a new test which may come up positive up to 4 days post-consuption. What's the real story?

Sounds like you want your cake and eat it too. Why not just stop drinking altogether and you won't have to worry about any random drug tests. Much easier to do.

There is a test called ETG that can detect alcohol for up to 80 hours in the urine.
