My gas fireplace was working fine and then it turned off and the pilot is out. We don't know what happened or how to get it started again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Of course, I can't find the paperwork that came with unit at this time. Unit runs on natural gas which runs under our crawl space.
Thank you, Kim

Hi Kim.

Usually there is a knob or a push button that controls the pilot gas.

Without being there and seeing what you have it is difficult to accurately answer your question.

sounds like the thermocouple/pile got too dirty and could no longer produce the millivolts D/C to keep the gas valve open. There is also a possibilty that a down draft blew out the pilot, or the pilot orfice got too dirty to dispense gas. It sounds like it's time to call an HVAC service co.
