I am seriously concerning opening a home based internet business from my home in MS. I am new at this and have lots of questions.
How do I get a tax id?
How do I handle sales taxes?
Can i do this as a sole proprietor ro do I need an LLC?
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Easiest way to go for you would be to call your State and ask for business start up brochures. Be careful because you may get a small forrest of recycled to read through, but that's your start.

Also, State websites often have sections dedicated to starting businesses. Fed (IRS) and State (IRS)have excellent publications all this information for you at no charge.

You may need help reading and understanding the words simply because its written for lawyers (I apologize, I couldn't help myself :) or some other bottom feeder, not people.

Good luck!
