Ok my hair is naturally dark brown I dye it medium golden brown and 3 weeks ago I dyed it auburn brown which has already faded. I want my hair a light golden brown or golden blonde because I am tired of always having dark hair.

I was told to use the light brown dye with 30 volume developer or mix bleach with shampoo and conditioner and leave in my hair for awhile or to use Colorfix and then dye. So which of these would lighten my hair or any other advice to get it light brown. Thanks.

Sweetie, if you want a light golden brown color or golden blonde without red tones, it's best to illuminate the red/orange tones by pre-lightening your hair to gold-yellow stage and then apply the desired color. You can use a high-lift color or a higher volume peroxide developer to lift your hair color a few shades lighter, but these techniques may result in brassy shade. To achieve a true light golden brown/blonde hair color, your best bet is to pre-lighten your hair. Whichever technique you choose to go with, please ask someone that's experienced in hair coloring to help you do the coloring process.
