I hope I can get some help from this site:

The thermostat model is DICO 1F86 373. Use gas. What happens is that frequently everything on the LED disappears: if the furnace was on before things disappear, it keeps on and the house gets really hot. If the furnace was off before things disappear, it keeps off and the house gets really cold.

Most of times I can get things back on by following the user's manual: press both the UP and DOWN arrows and at the same time move the swith from OFF to HEAT. What annoying the most is during midnight it gets either very hot or very cold when the controller is out of order.
