I had received my tax id in the mail and now I cannot find where I filed it. Is there a site I can access to retrieve it?

I don't think that you can get it online. You will need to contact IRS.

Agreed; a call to the IRS will have them mail you another copy of your tax ID.

They should NOT give it to you over the phone.
