One of the values of a site like this is that its a searchable collection of wisdom. There have to be a dozen or so questions on the same topic. You can save time by searching for similar questions before posting your own. I just answered another this morning. This is the answer I gave:

The answer is that YOUR employer prepares your W2. THEY decide whether to make it available online. Currently only a small percentage of employers do. If it will be available your payroll department will know how to access it so ask them. One of the previous threads on this had a link to a site that lists employers who do it.
