My birthday is coming up ! (yay)
and i was wondering if i should get a ghd or not ..I heard its really good ..but so is my current straightener . The only thing that i really want from it is to get rid of the flicks that occur everytime i straighten my hair . They're usually on the side or at the back of my head and no matter how much i straighten them they always seem to flick out :mad: ! is a GHD straightener the solution to my problem ?

What do you mean it flicks out? Does it stick out when you go out? Or does it just not straighten at all?
Some find that when they go out their hair kinks up a bit which could be down to humidity. I find applying a little hair serum after you have straightened your hair prevents hair from kinking up.

To achieve a smooth, sleek style, apply an anti-frizz lotion or straightening balm after you wash your hair. Then blow-dry your hair until it's completely dry. When your hair is completely dry, draw thin sections of hair through your flat iron, beginning at the roots and slowly glide it through the ends. Be sure to comb each section that you've straightened. After you're done, put a small amount of serum in the palm of your hand, then rub your hands together and work the serum through the hair for a smooth finish.

It straightens but the ends of the hair flick up .usually at the back of my head and on the sides.

oh LOL! because i said in my question about the GHD it was my birthday soon and then your signature said something about age not always bringing any wisdom i thought you were implying it to me . anyways big misunderstanding .

i have a GHD, and what i can say is, your hair is like the hair of VIPs and much better! its the best investment which you can make!
get a ghd and it solves all your hair probs.
