hi there, I have been on Depo for about a year. My last injection was 12.07.07. I was bleeding around about the beginning of September since then My periods still have not returned and i have had quite a lot of abdominal pain since then. Is this normal??

Your last injection was July 12 or December 7. The UK and the US have different date formats, so to properly answer your question I would need to know this.

It can be normal. It can take as many as 18 months for your system to return to normal after the depo shot. However, since you do have complaints of "quite a lot of abdominal pain" I would suggest you make an appointment with your doctor to make sure this is normal for you and to rule out any other possible problems.

Yes its normal that your periods have not returned it can take 12 months or so HOWEVER I had the same abdo pain after my Depo shot had finished so went to the doctor, had an ultrasound and discovered I have PCOS (polycystic ovaries)
