I had naturally blonde hair with light blonde highlights that I had professionally done at the salon. I decided to try and dye my hair so i purchased non permanent "hazelnut" brown dye. It looked really good but a few weekes it started to fade which i knew was going to happen. I was wondering how long it witll take for it to fade out and get back close to my natural hair color. Or if I should get someting like color zap and if I do get color zap do i have to re dye my hair and exactly what color is brassy? Im fairly new at the whole hairdying thing :)
Thanks!

If your hair is blonde, color treated or porous and you use a dark non permanent color on your hair, the color will grab onto your hair and leave a permanent tint. Using a hair color remove will make your hair orange and brassy. Try using a clarifying shampoo or dish detergent such as Dawn to remove the color. If it doesn't work, it would be best to go to a salon and have them strip the color from your hair. They may also need to pre-lighten your hair and then apply a color that is close your natural color.
