House built in 1988. Day and night Furnace unit model 394JAZ036045AAFA. Recently noted that when turning off the unit from thermostat, the fan will not go off. On cool setting AC unit will not initiate. On heat setting Furnace will not ignite. Changed out thermostat and the same problem persists.
My neigbor with exact same unit had problems with no ignition and changed out his igniter/lockout control. This handled the problem for him but I don't want to make assumptions and be off the mark. Will a bad igniter/lockout cause this kind of problem, or am I looking at a different issue?
