There is a roll over switch over the burner opening that keeps tripping and when you look at the burners the first one has overflow going around the bottom and top. Is this a adjustment of the pressure regulator on the control valve?

Check for a plugged vent/chimny. Something is preventing the flue gas outflow.

You may have dirty or rusted out burners, remove the burners and inspect them, you should have a strong blue flame (no yellow, no shoot) This is a dangerous condition and should not be operated untill it is repaired, Good luck, Mike
