I have a Carrier heater model#58PAV045-12 Series 130 that intermittenly fails to ignite. When you turn on the thermostat it ignites the glowbug lights up the flame come on and then the heater turns off. It can work fine for months and then it will not work. Any ideas?:confused:

There is a flame sensor at the burner that may be causing your problem, try sanding it lightly with fine sand paper. The sensor looks like a rod with one wire coming from it and is attached to the burner . This sensor senses the flame and keeps the gas valve open. You could also have bad ground to the burner , this would be a green wire connected to the burner. Good luck, Mike
