If we have to prepare a classified balance sheet and it's dated as July 13, 2007. And a lis t of accounts are given from which one of the account is "notes receivable (Due on Dec 31, 2007)", would this account go into the balance sheet? if yes, where?

The notes receivable would go under current assets on your balance sheet
