So I'm a sophomore and a senior asked me out. We have been going out for about a week. Today we had a half day so we went to lunch and then he took me home. It was the first time he had been to my house and so I was showing him my house. My mom was having a bookgroup or something like that so we couldn't be on the first floor. So I showed him the 2nd floor and my room. We sat on the edge of my bed and started talking. We ended up lying on my bed with his arms around me and hed tickle me and stuff like that. We didn't do anything not even kiss.
Later I was talking to my friend and she said being alone with him in my room, with both of us lying on my bed might have given him the wrong idea. I want to take things slowly and I'm not planning on having sex until I'm older but I'm afraid I've given him the impression that I do. He's a really nice guy but he is 3 years older than me. So I just want to know if what we did was too soon and if I gave him the impression that I don't want to take things slowly ? Or am I just making a big deal out of nothing and what we did wasn't really that intimate? And if I did give him that impression, what can I do to tell him that I made a mistake and I want to take things slowly? I've never dated before so I'm pretty clueless on all this stuff. Thanks!

I understand where your friend is coming from saying that it could have given him the wrong impression. However all you need to do is tell him. If the topic of sex comes up then tell him your views on it and be honest. The key to a great relationship is honesty and communication.
You may have given him the wrong impression... know one knows whether you did or not but him. If he did in fact get the wrong impression then just simply be honest with him.

I'd say he probably got the wrong impression. Better set things straight very soon. Think about it, the first time you were alone with him near a bed, you ended up lying down together when your mom was downstairs. Yes I'd say he got the idea you was going in the direction he probably wants to go. Ask him if he knows the definition of fatherhood, that should do the trick, ha ha.
