I have a Grand Aire heating and cooling unit under my house. When it began to get cold, we turned to heat. I can see and hear the unit coming on, however, there is no heat coming through the vents. What may be the problem. A friend suggested that I may need a blower motor. We have been reluctant in call in a "professional" because the last time we did we were taken for a wild ride and expensive ride.

Could be a dirty air filter
could be a fan and limit control.
Could be a blower motor.
Could be a belt if it is a belt drive blower.

you may need to call a good company.... call your local contractors association for recomendations.... RACCA.... Refrigeration, Air Conditioning Contractors of America.... this is an educational and professional organization who represent AC companies that provide quality service at fair prices.
