i have a carrier weathermaker 8000 gas furance... when the thermastat calles for heat the furance turns on it willgo for 3 for 4 min.... then the flame stops and the blower runs for the 128 seconds...this is all normal.....but the thermastat is still calling for heat and the furance kick on again and this happens about 3 times until the thermastat is up to temp... iahve tried cleaning the flame rolloff sensor and the sensor in the line of the fire ... any one can help please this just not something that i can fix....:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

Your thermostat has a heat anticipator in it and it needs to be set to the amps that the gas valve in the furnace calls for, if it is not the wiring in the thermostat will heat and the thermostat will think the temp desired has been reached. Then the thermostat will cool and call for heat again, this will repeat until the desired temp has been reached.

i have an electric thermastato you adjust the heat anticipator?????????

You will either have to have the instructions or find the thermostat on the internet and look at the net for guidance. All thermostats are different.
