I am trying to install a Honeywell rth7400 programmable thermostat for my furnace. The furnace is dual fuel (Heatpump/propane) The package comes with very nice instructions and says it is dual fuel compatible. When I go to hook it up I find I have wire situations that the instructions do not cover. Honeywell only offers help during regular business hours.

My old thermostat had wires W2, X, Y, G, E, R, B, and O

The instructions show if you have an O and a B wire put the B into the C slot and the O into the O slot The it show X going into either the C or E slot.
The problem is I have an E wire and an X wire the instructions show putting the X or X2 into the E slot but that leans no place for me to put the E.

Thank you for your help.
