I have a 12 year old unit which has recently had the heat exchanger replaced and a new thermostat installed. The blower will work for a few minutes when the heat cycle starts and then shuts off. I thought it might be the heat sensor on the blower and so I temporarly disconnected the sensor. I turned the power back on and the blower came on but again it ran for a few minutes and then shut off. I really hate to continue to put money in this unit but I can't afford a new unit. So, I need some help in diagonosing the problem.

Help me, it's starting to get cold

Sounds like it could be the motor causing the problem. Probably going out on overload. Next time it happens you will need to take a electrical reading to see if voltage is still going to the motor when it stops running.

Thanks for the reply, I will take a reading tomorrow when I power it up again.
