I started birth control pills for the first time this month, but here's the thing ....

Nov. 12 got my period. The last day of my period, Friday Nov 16th & 17th, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. I didn't start my pill till Sunday the 18th obviously. At the point that we had sex I know was not ovulating, but I'm wondering what are the chances of pregnancy at this point since I did start the pill. I know taking a home test is pointless right now, so i've just been doing some reading. I've noticed my breast have gotten fuller and are a little sore, but Im not sure if it can due to pregnancy or my period. Im not supposed to get it till dec 10th or so. I'm not really worried if I am pregnant. I just didn't have it in my plans right now. Anyhow if anyone has any good advice please let me know. Thank you.

If you have sex, there is a chance you can get pregnant. Period.

However, from the circumstances you're describing, it's doubtful that you are. Some women, however, do ovulate during their periods. You can't count on ovulating the way the majority of women do (halfway through their cycle).

Many symptoms of early pregnancy are the same as the symptoms of PMS.

Odds are that you're not pregnant--but you'll be playing the waiting game until your period comes to know for SURE.
