Hi um i just recently had sex with my girlfriend for the first time and she had claimed to be a virgin but i'm not sure if this is true. She had claimed that she tried to have sex before but the guy never got it in, after which, she said there was slight bleeding a couple hours later. She also said that when she was young she had broken her hymen during gymnastics and bled very much. But when we had sex she did not bleed at all, though, it was defficult to get in and was very painful for her.

Not all women bleed when they first have sex, but as soon as the penis enters the vagina, the girl is no longer a virgin, so technically, if it was in even a little bit before, she wasn't, but obviously no one else was there, so we can't know for sure.

Charlotte is right on all counts. Plus it sounds like the gymnastics broke your girlfriend's hymen a long time ago. Is that a problem for some reason?

It sounds as though your girlfriend has been completely open and honest with you. What she has told you is believable. Presumably, you love one another. So I guess I'm wondering why you are asking about this. Is there something that's worrying you?
