My central heating unit isn't coming on. I can feel heat at the vent, but it isn't blowing, and the unit isn't coming on.

Is the blower motor running? If not turn off the power and feel the body of the motor. if it is real hot the motor is probably defective. While you are in the area check to make sure the furnace filter is clean.
