I have a bryant furnace. The outside unit is making a clicking and kinda buzzing noise, seems like the fan wants to start but does not start up. The inside unit will start up and heat up but the blower never turns on. It is like it is waiting for something, and it never happens. Any advice would be great!!!

It is a furnace. It has a heat pump option on the thermostat, yet when we moved in they told us there was no heat pump. I know the outside unit runs even in the winter time, although it does not run in reverse (what i was told was a main characteristic of a heat pump). Thank you for helping out.

If you do not have a heat pump something is wrong with this picture. The A/C unit is not supposed to run in the winter unless it is a reverse cycle heat pump. I feel you should really have a professional look at your system and find out exactly what you have to start with.
