I have a 6 year old Amana CCA30 furnace. The blower motor stopped turning and emitted a 60 hertz hum. I replaced the capacitor and it worked for about 3-4 heating cycles the stopped again producing the same hum. I can turn the squirrel cage by hand pretty easily with no power but it will not turn with power applied. Is this a locked rotor condition requiring a motor replacement too?

I had to replace the blower motor on my Coleman dualpack purchased 07/04. It was clogged with dust. Problem 1st stage motor would come on & just stay in the 1st stage. repair person came out and the above was the results of the trip call.

The motor is toast. Replace both the motor and also get a new capacitor that matches the new motors requirements.
