I have electric heater and and a air conditioning unit, I do not have a heat pump. I wired my Honeywell RTH6300B thermostat I removed the jumper as per the instructions in the installation guide. I put the red wire in the RC connector slot I put the blue wire in the R connector slot, I put the yellow with the yellow connector slot, white to white connector slot and green to green connector slot. I turned on the heat and my air conditioning comes on. I I put the air conditioning on and nothing happens. I turn the fan on manual and it comes on. I had a new air conditioning condenser installed this pass summer, the person who installed the unit installed the thermostat. I tried to turn the heat on just recently and it would not work. The person who installed it told me I had a defective thermostat. I went and purchased the same exact thermostat and wired it like the person who installed it and I have the above stated problem. Any suggestions?
