am married, been using it for 1 year now. why is it the other month i dont have my period? sometimes i only have spotting? but there are months i have very heavy period?:) :) please explain.

No form of birth control is "100% safe" to use. There will always be someone who can have complications.

I would recommend calling your doctor since he/she is familiar with your IUD and your medical history.
