This is the diagram for your thermostat ( RED to RH ) (BLUE to RC)

Add this to your favorites so you can trace wiring if needed

2.3.5 ----- 4-wire Heating and Cooling

2.3.6 ----- 5-wire Heating and Cooling

The blue will go to RC only if it is a separate hot for cooling. More likely it is an unneeded common. Usually you jumper red to both RC and RH. You can check at the furnace and see if the blue comes off a com terminal.
