I have just recently moved into a new house that has a gas furnace ( forced air) in it and we just had to replace the ignitor. Well now its finally working but when its on and blowing warm air after a few minutes it starts to blow out cool air! I just need to know if i need to adjust anything on the furnace or what?? Its like it finally gets warm in the house and then the cool air kicks on and makes it cool again...just to warm it back up! I have never had the heating and cooling system before so i really dont know how it works! Anybody got any suggestions! thanks Jenny:confused:

Does the furnace have an air conditioner attached to it? When you say it blows cool air, are we talking mechanically cooled (around 55°F), or is it just unheated return air that is a couple of degrees below room temperature? You may have to put a thermometer at the register to know for sure - moving air always feels colder.
