my pilot light does not stay lit. i have to light it 2 or 3 times everyday. is it the igniter or the thermocouple?

What brand and model of furnace do you have? It could be a plugged pilot orifice,crack in the heat exchanger,weak thermocouple ETC.

i let the oil run out last year. I just had the oil tank filled when i hit the reset button the pilot did not light. I know that it can be lite but i do not know how i can call a service man who will charge me $65 to do this can anyone help me out.
