I have hereditary dark under eye circles, and I use concealer to cover them up before I go to school. But I've been having problems with the concealer; (eg., I put it on in the morning around 7-ish and at the end of the day, 3-ish, most of it has been worn off.) I don't rub my eyes or anything because I know I will wear it off sooner. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make concealer last longer than 7 hours w/o having to re-apply it?

Start by selecting a under eye concealer with a yellow under base, it helps hide blue or grayish circles. Apply the concealer under your eyes gently with your finger, using a tapping motion to get the concealer to blend in. Then, dust it with a powder that's a shade that matches your foundation. A powder puff or large brush may be used to apply the powder, you can use the powder brush to whisk away any excess.

Try to avoid concealers containing oils, because the oil will settle into the fine lines under your eyes and draw attention to the circles. You should get a matte concealer, it will stay on longer. When using a moisturizer, use a light weight moisturizer under the eye area, a heavy moisturizer will make your concealer slide off.

One really good concealer to try would be Cinema Secrets. It is light yet heavily pigmented so it easily covers imperfections.

My girlfriends and I are in the beauty business and one of them swears by Cinema Secrets. They also love anything by MAC. To me it doesn't matter what brand of cosmetics you use as long as it's applied correctly. A girl came to me once with cosmetics she bought from the drug store.
