I have been off the depo provera shot for about 8 mths. I just got a period...well I think it it is...it's going on day 2 (off and on)...light...my husband and I want to have a baby and we are excited that I finally got a period, we were waiting for so long for aunt flow to arrive lol! They say when there is a period there is possible ovulation...iS THAT TRUE? because I heard that it takes several mths for even fertility to come back I only had the shot for 4 mths and I stopped...will it take long to get pregnant? THANK YOU DESPERATE TO BE A MOMMY 4 2008!

I don't know about you, but for me, it took 2 years to get pregnant after the shot. It could have just been me, I didn't use any birth control after that and it took us 3 and a half years to conceive our second child, and 2 years for our 3rd. I wish you luck and hope it doesn't take you that long. I know that it can be so disheartening and sad to go month after month without conceiving.
